Si è fermato ad allenarsi a Napoli per una settimana Alan Shebaro, cintura nera sotto Carlos Machado, ha mostrato un Jiu Jitsu elegante e potente, che ha destato l'interessa per la originalità delle tecniche particolarmente adatte ai tanti pesi massimi presenti nell'accademia. Oltre che per la bravura Alan ha subito legato con tutti per la simpatia e la grande carica umana che indubbiamente lo contraddistinguono. Ha comunque promesso di farsi rivedere il prossimo anno, nel frattempo in bocca al lupo per le prossime competizioni...

Alan Shebaro has trained under Carlos Machado (nephew to Carlos Gracie, founder of Gracie jiu-jitsu) in brazilian jiu-jitsu. Currently 1 of 4 Black Belts in Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu in the U.S. Army. Instructor Experience -Recruited, trained, coached and was the Team Captain for the JFKSWCS Combatives Team, which competed in the 2006 All-Army Combatives Tournament in Ft.Benning Georgia. Training the 12 member team in Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu, Submission Wrestling, Wrestling, Judo, Pancrease Fighting, and Mixed Martial Arts fighting for the different levels of the tournament. Leading the JFKSWCS Team to take 1st place in the 2006 All Army Combatives Tournament. - Trained numerous members of the U.S. Special Operations including Army Special Forces (Green Berets), Army Rangers, Navy SEAL's, Air Force P.J.'s (Para Rescue Jumpers), CCT's (Combat Controllers), and Marine Force Recon in various combative techniques specifically tailored for combat. - Trained Chief Combatives Instructors in U.S. Army Special Forces, and 82nd Airborne Division to refine the TT&P's (Training, Tactics,and Procedures) in restraint and control techniques, last defense, competitive BJJ, and Submission Wrestling. -Trained numerous members of the Machado BJJ USA Team for National, and International BJJ tournaments including Pan-Am's, Brasiliero (Brazilian National Championships), and Mundials (World Championships). from 2000-2007. -Recruited, trained, coached, and Team Capt. for the Texas State University Judo Team which took 4th place at 2000 State Collegiate Championship 1999-2000. -Trained numerous members of the Dallas, Ft. Worth and surrounding Law Enforcement agencies as well as Federal Law Enforcement in LEDTAC (Law Enforcement Defensive Tactics & Arrest Control) -Developed Program of Instruction with Federal Air Marshall Chief Instructor to improve the Federal Air Marshall's unarmed combat techniques. -Created and developed L.E.D.T. (Law Enforcement Defensive Tactics)alongside SWAT police officer Tom Olivera for Law Enforcement personnel mixing Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu, wrestling, and Muay-Thai kickboxing to produce a curriculum to help Law Enforcement better defend themselves and maintain control of suspects being arrested.
